I'm in the departure lounge at LAX, having already been travelling for 12 hours. Waiting to board the Qantas flight to Melbourne, which will be a mere 15 hours in the air. Ugh. Can't wait to be there. I'm starting to feel a bit tired, so hope I'll be able to sleep on the flight. It's a HUGE plane and will obviously be packed, judging by the departure lounge.
Looking forward to attending this every five year gathering of interfaith enthusiasts from all over the world. This is truly the olympics of the interfaith movement and I'm thrilled to finally be able to attend. I intend to sample worship in a different religious tradition every day I'm there! Not to mention attend as many workshops and presentations as I can squeeze in my days. This is a wonderful opportunity to network and to see what is going on all over the world in the area of interfaith encounter.
More on Wednesday. (I lose tomorrow in flight!) We're going to board momentarily!
